Custom configurations for full spectrum prenatal, birth, and sleep support, plus specialized, shorter-term solutions
And you didn't have to explain the birth complications when you were discussing how to help your three month old fall asleep independently. You had a trusted voice to communicate your wishes in the birth center and help your partner know where to rub your back, as well as stay overnight to lengthen your baby's stretches of sleep.
Not only do we meet twice for prenatal visits to discuss birth education, preferences, and partner support, but I'm there 24/7 for text, call, or email support to help you navigate those questions like, "Is this normal? Should I make the trek to urgent care or just have a nap?" Or maybe give you some tried and true advice to calm those hemorrhoids down a little.
By this point, we already know each other well and I've learned what's important to your birth experience, how I can best help your partner be there for you, while going through their own emotional experience too. You'll have me dedicated to YOUR comfort, wishes, and communication so you never feel like you get lost in the shuffle or your voice isn't heard.
People often have help and advice soon after the excitement of birth, but sometimes a sleep regression or just a mysterious lack of any sleep rhythm at all can be the most isolating, exhausting, and hardest on your mental health. We'll plan for stage-appropriate education and intervention and add in phone, zoom, or in-person support as needed so you can be the mom you've always dreamed of!
I realized in my sleep consulting practice that I love supporting clients and families over and over and skipping over the part where we build trust and relationship and I learn their background, stories, and preferences.
I started to see the potential of using both of my areas of expertise in a seamless arc, where I could be a constant and helpful presence to moms and families wishing to navigate their first precious years with harmony and simplicity.

A doula provides three pillars of support: physical support, emotional support, and advocacy. So we're really there to help you feel good about your birth physically and emotionally, as well as provide some research and just kind of hold space for your feelings and your experiences.
A doula will never speak for you, but we are more than happy to give you research and just kind of talk things over so that you are able to advocate for yourself. Another question is does a doula replace my partner? No, absolutely not. We work with your partner.
We are like a trained labor support person, whereas your partner has never done this before. So they might be having some feelings of anxiety and uncertainty in how to best help you during labor. And a doula can help your partner know the best ways to support you and really help you both have a great birth experience.
Yes, absolutely. Depending on the hospital, some hospitals allow doulas in the operating room and some don't, but even if your hospital does not allow doulas in the operating room, we can be going and getting your recovery room all set up while you're in surgery, getting food ready so that you can eat as soon as you're feeling up to it after surgery and then really afterwards help you with recovery and getting up and moving around when you're ready, all of those things.
And the answer to this one is no. One of the strongest indicators of healthy attachment between infants and parents is the parent's consistent responses to behavior. So if we're responding the same way every time that is going to form a healthier attachment, then if sometimes we let baby cry and sometimes we go in immediately and they never know how we're going to respond, we're also not leaving babies to cry for an hour or anything like that.
It's all very carefully formulated to just help your baby learn skills of independent sleep without harming attachment. And then the next question is kind of a follow -up. Do I have to do cry it out to have sleep help? And no, I do plans where we do no cry, sleep training, and babies can learn those independent sleep skills even with some more help and less crying.
So I really try to tailor all of my sleep plans to the parenting styles of the parent and the ways that they are best going to be able to stay consistent because like I said earlier, that's the best indicator of healthy attachments. And then we also focus on how to interact during the day and during awake times to strengthen those healthy attachments while they're awake.
Fill out the contact form below and tell me a little bit about yourself, your birth, pregnancy, or baby and what kind of support you're looking for.
I'll be in touch to connect and arrange a complimentary meeting time—hopefully in person, but virtually, if necessary. We'll get to know each other and talk about your vision for your experience and options for support.
Once I get clear on how I can best help you, I'll send you a custom proposal based in our conversation. Hopefully, by this point, we know if we're a good fit for each other and we'll start walking this journey together!
