Every aspiring mama dreams of a smooth and beautiful birth and then organic and transcendent bonding with their baby. Unfortunately, this story can be derailed by complications, lack of advocacy, health, and sleep difficulties. (My story was! But more on that later.) By working together from pregnancy to peacefully sleeping through the night, I can help you create a smooth and stress-less experience of early motherhood.
Traditionally, women were supported by community, medicine women, mothers, and elders through their passage into motherhood, with a village of support for their own physical and emotional health and to carry some responsibility for the new child.
The model of women in hospitals, separate from support, and then left to mainly care for themselves and their new baby alone through the months of recovery and recalibration is relatively recent and insufficient.
So how do you walk through this right of passage with steadiness and support and some decent sleep?
"With our second baby we were at our last straw of sanity and so sleep deprived that it was so hard to follow through on good sleep habits. We did whatever we could to get some sleep even though we knew it was not setting good habits for the future. We needed an outside helper and Hannah was perfect! I was nervous at first to have a stranger in the basement with my baby but she had the most calming and peaceful presence. It's also amazing that she has been there before with her own two kids! I can't recommend Hannah enough!"

You don’t have to wait until you’re at a crisis point of wishing someone was beside you who could translate the medical jargon, focus on your emotional experience, and speak up for you when your voice gets drowned out in the rush of nurses and the noise of monitors.
You don’t have to wait until you’re so tired you can barely remember how to dial your phone or get a word out without sobbing.
Rather than trying to cobble together solutions when you just can’t do it alone anymore,
you can plan for the support you already deserve in the first place.
Without personal agenda, and where your personal parenting paradigm is respected above all.
Sometime *you* can get lost in the actual birth experience, with its high stakes and urgency. I'm there to make sure your voice is heard and *your* experience is tended to.
It's relatively recent that women have been hospitalized and sequestered for birth. Your body knows it's a time for a more collective experience, with wise women by your side
It's funny how we prepare for school, career, even driving a car, but expect to "just know" hugely important things like having a great relationship or teaching your child how to follow healthy sleep patterns. You can invest here too.
You're in the right place.
I didn’t get here by accident
(and I don’t think you did either!).
I know firsthand how drastically different your birth experience can be, depending on the people you have around you. I know the nauseating mental and physical exhaustion of caring for a baby that never sleeps, especially if you have other kids to take care of. I know the dramatic upswing in mental health when you get some sleep
From my first birth, with an agonizing six hours without any updates on my baby in the NICU and fifteen minute increments of sleep between hours of nursing, to another (much less stressful!) early delivery, NICU stay, and more sleep difficulty with my second, I knew there had to be a better way. On an educational foundation of marriage and family studies, I dove into the opportunity to become a pediatric sleep consultant, and later a doula to prevent mothers from needlessly going through the same harrowing experiences.
Not only do you receive gentle and advocating expertise to your birth experience and proven, attachment-aware protocols to your sleep shaping, but a seamless and intimate relationship to carry you through the most intense and memorable periods of your life.
AND FINALLY FEEL LIKE YOURSELF AGAIN.
My practice is designed around supporting only a few clients at a very high level. Rather than finding practitioners for every problem that arises and explaining your story and circumstances over and over again, I’ve designed my system around removing the mental load for already overloaded mothers by continuing our relationship from pre-natal into infancy.
I support you through combining your personalized desires and needs with education and experience that spans pregnancy to early motherhood. We create a custom experience that ensures you can embrace this phase and prioritize secure attachment with your baby, without compromising your physical and emotional well-being.
Love, Hannah

I’m honored to walk with you through this miraculous journey and I can’t wait to connect.
